The Stone Kitchen is situated on Dunstone, in the most beautiful valley in Wellington.

Chef Johan van Schalkwyk (ex, River Café on Uitsig and Seasons on Diemersfontein) is very excited about the quality of produce this abundant valley has to offer. He has a café style blackboard menu that changes regularly according to available produce from the valley.

The Stone Kitchen has some tables in the cool of the cellar, offering customers a peek at winemaking during harvest, and alfresco settings for those who wish to take advantage of the spectacular mountain views, expanse of lawn and fun kid’s play area.

The Stone Kitchen menu at present boasts Johan’s legendary breakfasts including such items as Eggs Benedict and nectarine, vanilla and banana filled pancakes, while his café style lunch menu offers both substantial and light dishes that show off Johan’s passion for creating unique flavours with fresh home grown and homemade ingredients.
