Fynbos Trails

Fynbos Trails would like to introduce you to the very best way to explore the Western Cape Winelands: on horseback! We provide magnificent horse trails through the Western Cape Winelands.

We specialise in a variety of horse trails and horse riding adventures which will allow you to experience the splendour of the Western Cape near Cape Town, South Africa. These horseback riding adventure trails vary from half day trails to a comprehensive 3 day horse trail through the magnificent Berg River Valley. Our riding trails are aimed at experienced riders, however novices are welcome on trails of up to a maximum of 1½ hours long. We can accommodate up to 8 riding guests, allowing us to give you personal attention.

Katrin, the proprietor of Fynbos Trails, is an experienced horsewoman, hiker, translator (French, Afrikaans and English) and guide with over 17 years of experience, largely in the Berg River Valley area. She is an expert at how to best enjoy the Winelands from horseback and on foot.

*All trails are organised and scheduled on request. We use accredited tour guides. Please book all longer trails at least fourteen days in advance.
